Are you a passionate and creative Chef looking for an exciting new challenge?

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef looking to step up to join the kitchen at our historic old hotel, renowned for its charm, character, and soon to be exceptional dining experience.

About Us: Our hotel is a beloved landmark, steeped in history and tradition, offering guests a unique blend of classic elegance and modern hospitality.

With a future focus on locally sourced ingredients and seasonal menus, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, beautifully presented dishes that celebrate the best of our regional culinary heritage. With an open canvas to reintroduce food offerings in the first instance, review the offering and refine, then grow and reach high volume, the sky is the limit as to what can be achieved.

You will have a proven history of developing a strong rapport with front of house teams, and a full understanding that they are the face of the hotel and your food creations. A total team focus is an absolute must.

The Role: As a Chef, you will be ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. You will lead a dedicated team (small at commencement with future growth increases), inspire creativity, and be assisting for activating the hotels reputation for outstanding cuisine.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute innovative, seasonal menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with health regulations. Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management to ensure profitability. Work closely with management to enhance the overall dining experience for hotel guests and visitors. We're Looking For: Proven experience as a Chef in a high-quality high volume kitchen. Passion for fresh, seasonal produce and creative menu development. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations. Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards and remain calm. A flair for presenting dishes that reflect the hotel's renovation stages, vision and charm.
