The Role
An APS 3 Administration Officer provides procedural, administrative and business support within an integrated Defence workforce. Working under limited direction, they apply relevant legislation, policies and Defence requirements while managing established priorities and standard procedures. The role requires the ability to plan and manage workload, complete routine tasks with some autonomy, and produce work subject to regular review. Duties may include clerical support, coordinating administrative processes, maintaining records, conducting basic research and analysis, and assisting with operational activities.
The APS 3 Administration Officer may provide limited supervision to junior staff and support team development through on the job training. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to follow standard procedures to meet work unit outcomes. The role also requires a commitment to continuous self-improvement and professional development.

A current driver’s licence, good driving record and the ability to uphold confidentiality are essential.
