A new opportunity has arisen for a Registered Midwife to join the team at a private hospital located in the suburbs of Perth. It is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Registered Midwife you will take time with patients and their families supporting them through every step of their journey to being a parent. You will be dedicated to providing all aspects of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care in the antenatal clinics and services, on the maternity wards and in birth suites, in addition to care for babies in the special care nurseries.You will be provided with specialised Midwifery educators that will work alongside you in all areas of the unit.
Your duties will involve:
* Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required;
* Promoting and contributing to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital;
* Providing patient education and acting as a resource where appropriate;
* Supporting and supervising staff and students as required, including orienting and precepting staff;
* Contributing to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
* You will hold registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse;
* Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
* An ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

REMUNERATION
$76,990 to $101,314 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital is a 511-bed private, non-profit facility located in the southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, offering a range of specialties to support both doctors and patients in accessing its services. The facility includes a preoperative television room, a holding bay with two beds, 2 operating suites, 2 trolleys, 6 post-operative beds, and 6 recliner chairs in the second-stage recovery area. It provides care for both adult and pediatric patients undergoing minor procedures only. Key specialties include orthopaedic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, gynaecology, extraocular ophthalmic procedures, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and general surgery.
