RFDS is seeking a 0.8 FTE or Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) general practitioner to provide services to the Pilbara RFDS clinics. This is a unique opportunity to join a team delivering essential healthcare services to remote Pilbara communities.
The Role
Your week at a glance
* Three days of outreach clinics each week – travel by plane twice and 4WD once for a truly adventurous workweek.
* Clinic days are usually about 7:00am–4:30pm. Fly out to clinics and see patients from 8:30am–2:30pm, then return home.
* Monday admin time with flexibility – structure your week to suit your lifestyle, including the option of a four-day weekend every second week.
* Permanent 0.8 FTE (Mon–Thu) based in Port Hedland, with FIFO job-share options available.
* Live in a well-appointed home in Port Hedland while making a difference in remote communities.

The Requirements
* Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
* Unconditional AHPRA Specialist GP registration.
* Minimum five years post-graduate experience, including general practice, emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, and gynaecology.
* Interest in clinical education and telehealth.
* Experience in Indigenous health, remote community care, and shared antenatal care is highly desirable.
* Completion of emergency courses such as ALS is advantageous.
The Package
* Base salary up to $273,562 per annum (at 0.8 FTE).
* Salary packaging: up to $15,900/year for everyday expenses + $2,650/year for meals and entertainment.
