As part of ongoing growth within our Data Practice, we are seeking an experienced Data Test Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to support data‐led transformation initiatives.
The Opportunity
This role will work across data‐intensive programs, supporting the assurance of data quality, pipeline integrity and business outcomes within modern cloud-based data platforms.
You will operate in a consulting capacity, working closely with client stakeholders, data engineers and architects across large‐scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and execute test strategies for cloud-based, data‐intensive platforms
* Validate data pipelines, transformations and business rules across large datasets
* Perform data validation and reconciliation across ingestion, processing and reporting layers
* Test GCP data services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage and data pipelines
* Use Jira for test planning, execution, defect management and reporting
* Work closely with data engineers, architects and business stakeholders
* Provide clear test reporting and data quality insights to senior stakeholders
* Contribute to data testing approaches, frameworks and best practices
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Data Test Engineer or Data Tester
* Strong hands‐on experience testing data platforms in GCP environments
* Solid understanding of data quality principles, data validation and reconciliation techniques
* Experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines and large datasets
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Prior consulting or client‐facing experience preferred
* Financial Services, Banking or regulated industry experience advantageous
