About the opportunity
The People Capability Development Officer role sits within the Organisation, Development, Engagement and Performance (ODEP) team in the People & Development Directorate. This role will support and deliver a suite of organisational development projects in 2026, and into 2027. Some of the key focus areas will be supporting the roll out of Emerging Leader Program 2026 and organisational development processes. A key challenge at the SES is balancing what can be achieved between operational and non-operational times.
You will be supported by a leader who prioritises connection, values diverse perspectives, and champions your professional growth. You will also be part of a highly connected team that values a sense of humour whilst achieving results.

About you
To be successful in this role you will:
* be able to collaborate effectively, influence outcomes and have a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering results;
* build strong relationships across the organisation to embed a culture of learning and growth;
ideally, have experience in capability development, HR, or related fields.

* You will enjoy a 35-hour work week, with the potential for flexible work arrangements such as a nine-day fortnight or a four-day work week depending on the requirements of the role and operational needs.

* Attractive salary range of $99,938 to $110,271 plus 12% superannuation and leave loading.
