Role: Senior Estimator
Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver tender submissions for building projects.
* Work closely with internal and external clients.
* Build up costs for traditional trades (groundwork, brickwork, joinery, etc.).
* Identify opportunities for value engineering and achieve best value prime cost.
* Be commercially aware of the contractual implications of common forms of contract.
* Work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
* Develop and maintain supply chain relationships and with operational teams.
Requirements
* Previous work as an Estimator, Assistant Estimator, or Senior Estimator.
* Experience tendering for building projects.
* Aware of current market prices for construction work.
* Sound technical knowledge of the construction process.
* Ability to work closely with internal and external clients.
* Commercial awareness of contractual implications of common contract forms.
* Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
* Ability to build up costs for traditional trades (groundwork, brickwork, joinery, etc.).
* Ideally proven track record of established supply chain relationships with operational teams.
* Ability to identify opportunities for value engineering and achieve best value prime cost.
* Relevant industry qualification.
* Main Contractor employment history is essential.
Remuneration
* £55,000 – £70,000 basic (dependent on experience).
* Car or allowance.

* Bonus x 2 per year (guaranteed, boosts package by approx. 10%).
