About the Role

We are seeking a Refugee & Disability Employer Engagement Officer to support people with disability from refugee backgrounds to achieve meaningful employment.

This role will be based in either Werribee or Sunshine and will require travel across Broadmeadows, Mill Park, and Epping.

Working within the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program and reporting to the Hubs Manager, the Employer Engagement Officer works within a collaborative team to deliver inclusive employment services that support refugees with disabilities and other participants to achieve sustainable employment. The role involves managing a caseload, providing tailored coaching and support, and working closely with local employers to identify opportunities through labour market mapping, job carving, and reverse marketing. The Employer Engagement Officer builds strong employer partnerships, supports participants through placement and post-placement, and contributes to the SSI Service Delivery Model to ensure holistic, individualised support while achieving program KPIs.

We're Looking for People Who:

* Demonstrated experience in meeting KPI's and ensuring compliance.
* Has positive can do attitudes with proactive manner.
* Cultural competency and sensitivity, with experience working in multicultural settings.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Previous sales and customer service experience are highly regarded.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple client cases simultaneously
* Completion of, or willingness to enrol in Certificate IV in Employment Services
* Are passionate about supporting people with disability to achieve long-term employment outcomes
* High level customer centric approach and the ability to show empathy to job seekers and clients.
* Good working knowledge of local, state and national labour markets.
* Understanding of CALD and refugee client requirements and/or lived experience.
* An understanding of the challenges facing people with a disability or mental illness entering the workforce, or any lived experience in this area.
* Experience working in community advocacy, social services, disability support, or refugee settlement programs.
* Arabic, Korean or Vietnamese speakers will be highly regarded.
