Senior Laboratory Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in both laboratory and field environments.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct a full range of construction materials testing (CMT) in the field and laboratory, including soils, aggregates, concrete, rock, and other materials.
* Prepare and test soil, aggregate, and concrete samples in line with relevant Australian Standards.
* Liaise with onsite personnel to coordinate testing schedules, procedures, and results while professionally representing our brand.
* Perform routine equipment maintenance, quality checks, and calibrations in accordance with company procedures.
* Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of results to meet client and project requirements.
* Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations.
About You – Skills & Experience
You will be successful in this role if you:
* Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the Construction Materials Testing industry.
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety.
* Are physically fit and capable of performing manual labor, including heavy lifting.
* Can work effectively under pressure, balancing priorities to meet client deadlines.
* Have sound experience in both field and laboratory CMT testing to Australian standards or be motivated to start a career in CMT.
* Work well autonomously, showing initiative and self-motivation.
* Can perform a range of testing tasks across soils, aggregates, concrete, rock, and other materials.
* Have demonstrated experience in laboratory and field testing in soils/aggregates/concrete to AS****, AS****, AS****.
* Understand NATA ISO/IEC ***** requirements.
* Are a NATA-approved Signatory (highly advantageous).
* Ideally hold a current NDM Radiation Licence (highly advantageous).
* Hold a current driver's license.
