 
        
        About this role:Working in partnership with the Senior Management Accountant, this role ensures that financial reporting and analysis to senior officers is provided in an expert manner to support effective decision making and compliance with budgeting and financial frameworks.Your Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high quality, expert business advice in Prudential Financial managementSupport the management of the annual budget and FTE plan for the Office, including for all Divisions, Directorates, Units and Projects.Produce monthly financial reports and analysis for divisions for use in key decision-making.Provide education, advice and analysis in relation to budget management systems, acquittals, procedures and methodologies to build internal knowledge.Undertake complex financial analysis to identify and mitigate risks.Help to maintain a safe and healthy working setting.About youA skilled communicator with high level task management capability, we are seeking someone who has significant experience in financial and budgetary management.To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who brings:An appropriate tertiary qualification in Accountancy, Finance or Business Management.High level ability to exercise initiative and judgement in the analysis and resolve of complex problemsIn an environment with high work volume and changing priorities, the ability to meet critical deadlines while handling sensitive issues is a must.Significant experience in financial and budgetary management, in a government environment, (especially the development of forecasts and operating budgets).
