TRACKS are seeking a skilled Electrician / Instrumentation to join our dynamic team. This hands-on position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems across a range of industrial operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring equipment reliability, plant efficiency, and compliance with safety and technical standards.
* Bus-in & Bus Out from Darwin,
* working days – 12 hour - starting at 6:00 AM and finishing at 6:00 PM.
* 7:7 roster
Job Responsibilities for Electrician / Instrumentation Technician
* Electrical Installations and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair HV and LV cabling, electrical systems, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
* Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, including HV and LV cabling, to identify and resolve issues efficiently, minimizing downtime.
* Instrumentation and Controls: Set up, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation systems, including SCADA and PLC systems, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
* Shutdown Support: Participate in shutdown activities, safely decommissioning, inspecting, and re-commissioning electrical and instrumentation systems.
* System Testing and Inspections: Conduct inspections and tests on electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety and performance standards.
* Preventative Maintenance: Implement and perform preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems to avoid unplanned downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience
* Qualified Electrician with a valid Electrical Licence (Essential).
* Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation and Control (Highly Desirable).
* Demonstrated experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
