About the role
We are seeking an experienced Personal Care Worker who can provide professional, person-centered care and support to the Residential Care residents, in accordance with their individual care plans, policies and procedures. You will work with the clinical care team to foster maximum resident independence and autonomy.
Salary:$73,209.02 - $73,214.02 per annum or $37.04910 - $37.05163 per hour plus 25% casual loading, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation (pro-rata for part-time employment)
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents in their daily living requirements, including nutrition, mobility, personal hygiene, social interaction, lifestyle activities and other support as documented within their care plan
* Establish and maintain trusting and professional relationships with residents, ensuring all interactions with residents are respectful, and supportive of their privacy, dignity, individual choice and decision making
* Dispense medication as directed by the Clinical Care team, as appropriately credentialed and assessed
* Undertake timely and accurate charting, exception reporting and other documentation as required
* Ensure cleanliness and safety of resident's living environment, and report any issues to the relevant staff member
* In consultation with the clinical team, provide care and daily living services to residents that helps them achieve maximum independence and meets the residents personal, emotional, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs

Key skills and experience
* Minimum qualification of Certificate Level III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent
* Completion of 'Assist clients with Medication' competency, or willingness to obtain one within the first few months of employment
* Hold a valid food handling certificate, or willingness to obtain one within the first few months of employment
* Demonstrated experience in a similar position in Aged Care
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
* An ability to work cooperatively with a diverse workforce and client base
