 
        
        About the Role 
Tabun is hosting a community language-exchange picnic and is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help facilitate casual Japanese conversation and cultural activities. This is a outstanding opportunity to meet like-minded language learners, share your love for Japanese, and gain valuable tutoring experience. 
While this is a volunteer position, there is a robust possibility to move into paid roles with Tabun in future, particularly in Japanese teaching and tutoring. 
Responsibilities 
Engage with attendees in Japanese and English to create a welcoming, inclusive environment. 
Help guide informal conversation activities and language games. 
Support setup and light event logistics as needed. 
Represent Tabun positively to the wider community. 
What We’re Looking For 
Native Japanese 
Conversational English (IELTS 7.0+) 
Friendly, approachable, and comfortable speaking with diverse groups. 
Interest in language exchange, teaching, or Japanese culture. 
Reliability and ability to work in a team.

Event Details 
Date: tbc 
Location: Brisbane 4000 QLD 
Time Commitment: Approx. 3 hours on the day, and compulsory brief pre-event meeting.
