Located in the heart of Hobart, our premium hotel offers an exceptional location. As an Assistant Manager, you will lead the team across all areas of the Front Office, supporting and coordinating with other departments. No two days are the same. You can manage your time and handle juggling numerous tasks at once. You have an outcome-driven approach to performance and results.
Your ability to 'surprise' our guests with your natural bright and bubbly customer service style sets you apart from the rest. You are a confident person who can approach people and initiate conversation, with a strong knowledge of the hotel and its surrounding area.
Job Description
* Assist and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office team.
* Supervise and support guest arrivals, departures, and the overall guest experience.
* Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
* Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the hotel's operation in the absence of senior management, providing high-level customer service at all times.
* Coach, mentor, and inspire the Front Office team to excel in their roles.
* Assist in driving financial performance by managing budgets, rostering, forecasting, and upselling.
* Coordinate and support valet parking services.
* Be responsible for the health and safety of all patrons, guests, and staff members.
Qualifications
* At least 2 years of experience in the hotel industry with strong Front Office expertise and a Diploma in Hospitality Management or Business Administration (advantageous).
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
* A guest-focused mindset and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences.
* Strong knowledge of Opera/Opera Cloud PMS.
* A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and First Aid, or the ability to attain.
* A valid full Australian or International Driver's Licence.
