Occupational Therapist Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate early intervention team in North, Central or East, supporting children with autism and their families.
Main Responsibilities:
* Complete assessments and develop individualised goals using strengths-based approaches to assess areas of support and collaborate with families to set meaningful goals aligned with NDIS goals and family priorities.
* Deliver individualised and family-centred therapy to support independence, motor skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, play and engagement in daily activities.
* Collaborate and learn from a knowledgeable and supportive multidisciplinary team.
* Provide a combination of hub-based therapy and community visits in your local area.
* Lead curriculum-based group programs focused on play, regulation, motor skills, independence and social engagement.
Requirements:
* Holds a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
* Is passionate about working with young children and their families in early childhood settings.
* Demonstrates a family-centred approach, with a passion for empowering individuals and supporting their independence.
* Has strong communication skills and able to build rapport with clients, families, and other professionals.
