We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team on a nine-month fixed-term contract. You'll be based at our North East Regional Office in Croydon, reporting directly to the Area Lead - Delivery Program Development.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe delivery of high-quality natural resource management and civil projects across our diverse range of assets.
This involves mentoring and leading team members, providing technical guidance and oversight on complex works, projects, and programs. You'll also be responsible for continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing business-as-usual processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor and lead team members while providing technical guidance and oversight
* Develop and maintain project management plans, including forecasting, budgeting, and resourcing requirements
* Manage the project lifecycle, covering scoping, planning, execution, and closure
* Owning the implementation of safety controls as identified in project management plans
You'll have the opportunity to work on various projects, including earthworks, rockwork, concrete structures, water civil maintenance, and natural resource management projects.
We're looking for someone with strong mentoring and leadership experience, complex project management skills, and the ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects.
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll identify and initiate business, system, and safety improvements, focusing on effectively delivering project safety, quality, environmental, and reputational outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have excellent financial acumen, reporting, and forecasting skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or Natural Resource Management is highly desired. A current Victorian driver's license is essential.
