The Red Shed is an outdoor powered garden products specialist. We have seven retails stores and workshops around Melbourne. We assist customers in purchasing ride-on mowers, lawnmowers, chainsaws, log splitters, arborist gear and other outdoor garden equipment.
Our Pakenham store is looking for someone who has customer service experience and enjoys serving and assisting people. An interest in mechanical or motorized equipment would be advantageous. This is a full-time permanent position that includes weekend work.
You will need to have:
* good customer service skills
* minimum 1-2 years of sales experience in retail or sales representative roles
* an eagerness to learn and seek personal growth
* excellent organizational skills
* good listening skills
* excellent written communication skills (i.e.: spelling and grammar)
* ability to speak clearly and confidently on the phone
* flexibility to work weekends
* intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
* a love for work, be industrious and enjoy being part of a team
* current drivers license
The following would be advantageous:
* An interest in garden or mechanical products.
* Forklift license
Specific duties would include:
* in-store sales
* phone sales
* answering inbound calls and assisting with customer queries
* upkeep of store i.e.: updating merchandising and cleanliness of store
* delivering goods to customers
* assembling products
* attending field days and trade shows.
