About the Role
* This role involves designing and delivering activities such as community events, sports, digital media, and cultural camps.
* You will collaborate with families, Elders, and other service providers to ensure activities are culturally sensitive and community-driven.
Key Responsibilities
* Activity Development: Create engaging and relevant activities that meet the diverse needs of young people and the community.
* Supervision and Guidance: Provide supervision and leadership to participants during activities.
* Cultural Awareness: Promote cultural understanding and respect for cultural knowledge and practices.
* Community Engagement: Engage with families, Elders, and local stakeholders to ensure the program meets community needs.
Requirements
* You must have experience working with young people and an understanding of the challenges and strengths in First Nations communities.
* You should be comfortable assisting in activities like sports, digital media, cultural camps, and community events.
* You should hold a current Driver's License and be willing to undergo a Police Check and obtain an OCHRE card.
