What You'll Do
As an HME Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced mining environment. You will contribute to the smooth operations of our Gove Mine Site, ensuring safety protocols are followed and equipment is maintained to optimal standards. This role is perfect for individuals eager to learn and develop a rewarding career in mining.
Required Skills
* Valid 'C' class driver's license (automatic and manual transmission)
* Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
* Commitment to safety and team collaboration
* Ability to follow instructions carefully
* High level of responsibility and ownership over equipment
* Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
* Ability to pass a medical and fitness assessment
Nice to Have Skills
* Prior experience operating heavy machinery (not mandatory but advantageous)
* Basic mechanical knowledge or maintenance skills
* Familiarity with mining or construction environments
Preferred Education and Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Resident of Gove with existing accommodation, as local residency is required
* Motivation to learn and grow within the mining sector
Other Requirements
* Must reside in Gove or be able to secure accommodation in the area
* Availability to work on a rotating shift roster (4 days, 4 nights, 4 off)
* Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Compensation and Training
