Maintenance Person - Emerald Central Hotel

This is an essential role in maintaining our high standards and guaranteed quality of our accommodation for all our valued guests. Your role will be to maintain and improve upon these standards while providing high customer service to guests and staff alike.
Main Responsibilities
1. Perform general repairs within the property, including guest rooms, common areas, and the building.
2. Possess knowledge and experience in painting, plastering, and carpentry.
3. Coordinate and negotiate with outside contractors.
4. Oversee contractors' work to ensure high standards and quality are maintained.
5. Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
6. Perform regular maintenance tasks and inspections of the facilities.
7. Liaise with guests and staff regarding maintenance issues and the progress of works.
8. Be efficient and cost-conscious.
9. Contribute to a workplace health and safety environment.
10. Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
11. Work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines.
12. Demonstrate an eye for detail, professional personal presentation, and good organizational skills.
13. Be reliable and punctual.
This is a casual position requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week, with an immediate start for the right applicant.
