Position Overview
Postdoctoral Researcher – Higher Education team (Part‐time 0.5 FTE, Fixed‐term 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2026, Salary $92,778 – $97,730 (pro‐rata)).
Location: Berwick, Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
* Co‐design and execute applied research projects aligned to Chisholm's priority domains (e.g., health and community services, engineering technology, information technology, and teaching & learning innovation).
* Where necessary prepare and coordinate Human Research Ethics Application‐ready submissions, participant materials, data management plans, and risk assessments.
* Lead or contribute to study protocols, sampling strategies, instrument development, fieldwork, and mixed‐methods data analysis (e.g., R/Jamovi/SPSS, NVivo, Python).
* Champion best practice in authorship, data stewardship, conflicts of interest, reproducibility, and research record‐keeping.
* Produce high‐quality research outputs: peer‐reviewed articles, practitioner reports, policy briefs, industry white papers, datasets, and conference presentations.
* Support implementation of Chisholm's Governance Framework, including training resources and advisory support to staff and students.
* Embed knowledge‐translation plans to maximise practice and policy impact with partners (service providers, community organisations, government).
About You
You are a highly motivated individual with well‐developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.
Qualifications
* Essential: Doctorate or Master's with equivalent industry experience.
* Desirable: Previous experience in research at a Higher Education institute.

Employment Conditions
Fixed‐term contract from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2026, part‐time 0.5 FTE. Salary range as noted above, plus superannuation.
