- $88,466 - $101,685 per year based on experience + Super + Salary Packaging

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Podiatrist to join our large multidisciplinary team in Melbourne. As a community-based Podiatrist in Home Care (IHC) you will be responsible for clinical care to consumers in a community setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role is responsible for delivering high quality, best practice care that meets the expectation of the consumer and demonstrates a commitment to maintaining an optimal level of dignity, respect, comfort, and quality of life for consumers.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting our clients maintain their independence, you will work with various funding bodies, including Home Care Packages, Short Term Restorative Care, CHSP, and privately funded clients.

Key Duties

- The provision of professional, quality podiatry care to meet the individual needs of consumers.
- Consumers are engaged in the development, delivery and evaluation of care and services and are supported in that engagement.
- Ensuring that all consumers receive regular assessment of their individual needs and developing a plan to meet these needs.
- Taking appropriate action in the event of changes in the consumer/'s needs, including referral to other health professionals as required
- Effective management of high-impact or high-prevalence risks associated with the care of consumers.
- Minimisation of infection-related risks through implementing standard transmission-based precautions to prevent and control infection.
- Report consumer risks to management, including inappropriate behaviours or actions not aligned to our values or the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Ensure that scope of practice is compliant with regulatory guidelines and Baptcare policy and procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

- Wholeheartedly aligned with Baptcare’s Mission, Vision, and values
- Assessment and planning, including consideration of risks to the consumer/'s health and well-being, informs the delivery of safe and effective care and services.
- Advanced skills in the creation of timely and thorough consumer records including documentation of care provided to meet all statutory requirements and collecting and maintaining accurate data and statistics as required.
- Highly organised and adaptable to work in a rapidly changing environment and a consumer/'s changing circumstances or preferences.
- Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions and problem solving to ensure quality consumer outcomes.
