Our organization is seeking a Train Terminal Operations Specialist to manage the loading and unloading of trains within terminals and sidings. This role involves coordinating, planning, and executing various terminal services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate reach stackers and forklifts to move containers and load/unload trains as required. Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated safely.
* Conduct train and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of rail transit documentation.
* Plan and coordinate terminal service requirements for scheduled trains, including marshalling activities. Update the Transport Management System accordingly.
* Induct customers and contractors entering the terminal. Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues promptly.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to improve resource planning and operational efficiency.
About You:
* A valid forklift and Reach Stacker license is preferred but not essential (training provided). The right candidate will be proactive, willing to learn about our operations, and possess excellent communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail is required when handling safety and quality documentation. Ability to meet the rail medical standard and pass a driver history check is mandatory.
