Within Networking, we’re confronting and solving complex challenges.Our data center networks provide high bandwidth and low latency solutions for aggregating server racks, inter-connecting data centers in our regional backbone, inter-connecting our data centers to our Border network, and for management and monitoring of all network devices and critical data center infrastructure.Key job responsibilitiesScale, deploy and improve our next generation networks.Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.Leverage automation to improve deployment velocity and safety.Work closely with our broader Network Capacity, Network Availability and Design Engineering Teams to ensure we deploy highly scalable and available networks.Drive standards across the network and ensure that we are fully compliant to those standards and policies.Participate and drive impact mitigation during large-scale events utilizing an established Event Management process.Drive event deep dives for large-scale events, deliver high-quality documentation for the events and drive corrective actions to completion.Improve our detection mechanisms by designing and implementing new alerts.Identify and troubleshoot recurring platform issues for full resolution.Create and review documentation and process regarding recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.Troubleshoot interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low-level application interaction.Identify and drive opportunities to repeatable tasks through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience working in large scale networking environments.2+ years with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, ISIS and/or OSPF.Experience in automation scripting in any language (python, bash, shell).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills; specifically, network performance analysis.Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.Experience working with customers to diagnose a problem, and work toward resolution.Acknowledgement of country:In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
