We are seeking an Administration Officer Level 2 (Secretarial & Administration) to provide high quality administrative support and customer service within a Local City Council in Queensland.

- Rate: $38.05 p/h + Superannuation
About the Role:
Reporting to the Team Leader, Land Information Services, the Administration Officer will play a key role in providing accurate and professional customer service and administrative support. The role involves responding to internal and external enquiries, processing land information transactions, and maintaining data integrity across Council systems. The position requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a motivated team in a fast paced workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and customer focused service, responding to enquiries in line with legislation, policy, and data privacy requirements
- Input, search, and retrieve information using Council's corporate systems and software
- Apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and relevant legislation including the Privacy Policy, Revenue Policy, Community Titles Act, and Local Government Act
- Process transfers of ownership from the Titles Office, including validation of information with owners
- Accurately process and record property and valuation certificates and change of address requests
- Maintain the Name and Address Register to ensure accuracy and currency
- Update property details in Council's T1 Property Nucleus system and maintain accurate records in the electronic document and records management system (EDRMS)
- Assist senior officers in improving systems, procedures, and practices to enhance efficiency and service delivery
- Provide workflow and task status updates to the Team Leader as required
- Share skills across key functions to contribute to overall team outputs
- Other duties as required
Mandatory Requirements:
- Previous experience in administration, records management, or customer service
- Demonstrated ability to manage data accurately and maintain compliance with policies and procedures
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High level communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on accuracy and professionalism
- You must have full Australian working rights to be considered for this position
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in local government, land information, or property-related administration
- Knowledge of Council systems, processes, and regulatory frameworks
- Qualifications in business administration, governance, or a related discipline
