Senior Management Accountant Role

This pivotal role involves providing financial support to Defence programs, ensuring accurate contract reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. The successful candidate will oversee invoicing and cash flow management while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
A critical aspect of this role involves monitoring project costs, variances, and cash flow, as well as understanding contractual obligations to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Offer financial analysis, governance, and contractual reporting to support project teams.
* Ensure month-end activities are conducted efficiently to reflect accurate project results.
* Contribute to quarterly EAC reviews, validating outputs independently and providing financial insights for Contract Status Reviews (CSR).
Requirements:
* An Accounting/Commerce degree and professional accounting body membership qualified.
* Solid knowledge of accounting standards and strong stakeholder management skills.
* The ability to produce and analyse financial information, with previous experience working in a similar high-risk industry.
* Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Defence security clearance.
