**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Morris Hospitality is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead the team as General Manager of the Railway Club Hotel. As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all areas of the venue and the management of all staff. Reporting to the CEO, you will be involved in financial planning, budgeting and reporting.
In this high-level management position, you will take the lead in our busy venue to develop and maintain the team, ensuring that the service we offer to our guests is always above expectations. You will oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house professionals to build and maintain a positive culture across all areas of the venue and will be responsible for meeting overall business expectations.
As General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Revenue generation & local area marketing
- Maintaining a profitable & efficient operation across all areas of the venue
- Leading & managing all teams & staff within the venue
- Developing & implementing superior service standards that consistently exceed guest expectations
- Working with Chefs and Managers on menu development, budgeting & planning
- Overseeing stock control & management, including purchasing
- Training, development & coaching of management & FOH staff
- Succession planning programs that focus on staff development & progression
- Financial management, including cost-control
- Implementing systems & processes to ensure the smooth running of the venue
- Overseeing reservations/bookings
- Ensuring all areas of the venue are compliant with health regulations & WHS requirements
Full-Time Salary: $90,000 - $100,000
**ABOUT YOU**:
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
- Hospitality Management qualifications preferred
- At least 5+ years' experience in hospitality management
- Experience in a similar role at GM level
- Extensive background in food & beverage services
- Ability to excel in a high volume, high pressure environment
- Common sense & a mature, professional attitude
- Passion for exceptional standards
- A drive to elevate the venue's profile through outstanding product development & delivery
- Have all relevant industry certifications
- Ability to work autonomously
- Experience with financial management & budgeting
- Ability to lead & motivate the team
- A passion for fine dining & a strong interest in industry/trends
- Ability to maintain superior standards of product consistently
- Exceptional time management & organisational skills
- Excellent communication & people skills
- Booking management experience
- Experience with staff internal training programs
- Ability to support a strong relationship between management & FOH/BOH teams to ensure consistency & business growth
