Purpose of the position
We are seeking an L2/3 Service Desk Engineer specializing in Microsoft Cloud solutions to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is ideal for a dependable IT professional who is eager to leverage their existing skills, continuously learn, and excel in delivering outstanding customer service.
The Role
In this position, you will provide technical support for the Microsoft cloud solutions we implement for our clients. Your responsibilities will include managing and supporting client IT environments according to technical, security, and best practice standards.
You will work closely with clients and their teams, educating them about new cloud-based initiatives and applications, and offering training as needed.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Microsoft on-premise and cloud solutions, with preferred experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. Key areas of expertise should include:
* Microsoft Servers & Desktop Operating Systems
* Microsoft Azure and Office 365
* Microsoft Intune & Autopilot
* Microsoft Security Services (CAS, ATP, Defender)
* Microsoft Power Platform (SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate)
* IT Networking & Network Security
* Network Switches, UPS, Routers, WAPs, and Firewalls
* Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is required
Excellent communication skills, a high attention to detail, a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and an outgoing personality are essential for this role.
Qualifications/Experience
To excel in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with a strong background in Microsoft 365 administration. Practical knowledge in the following areas is crucial:
A minimum of 3-5 years of specific experience in Microsoft 365 administration is required.
* Network Monitoring Systems
* Ticketing Systems
* Backup Solutions
* Wi-Fi & Switching
* VoIP Telephony
* Mac & JAMF
Bonus Skills
* Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MS-100, MS-101, MS-500, and Azure certifications
* Proficiency in authentication mechanisms including Azure AD, ADFS, SSO, and Modern Authentication
* Ability to develop PowerShell scripts and LDAP Queries
* Excellent verbal communication skills, with experience in conducting in-person training sessions.
* Experience with ConnectWise
