Drug and Alcohol Support Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Drug and Alcohol Support Specialist to join our team.
The Karlup Service is a holistic, wraparound service model for women and children to heal and recover from family and domestic violence which will run from the Ruah Centre for Women and Children building in Perth.
This role involves facilitating and coordinating support for problematic drug and alcohol use, providing system navigation, emotional encouragement and motivation through a case-management approach to women who have decided to seek support for their alcohol and/or drug use.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individualized support to women experiencing difficulties with drug and alcohol use
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
* Conduct assessments and develop case plans to address client needs
* Implement and evaluate interventions to promote client recovery
Requirements:
* Minimum qualification of a Certificate IV in a relevant discipline or Diploma/Degree in social work, psychology, mental health, community services or a related field
* Relevant case management experience in the alcohol and other drugs sector
* Capability to work effectively with a trauma and culturally informed model of service delivery
* Strong interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
