Electrical Career Pathway
Becoming a skilled tradesperson in the electrical field is a challenging and rewarding journey. You will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in residential installation, maintenance of electrical equipment, caballing, wiring, and diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions.
* You will be employed as an apprentice by the largest employer of apprentices and trainees in Tasmania.
* You will be part of a committed team under the guidance of a business owner.
* Theory training will be conducted at TasTAFE.
* Your work & training field officer provides ongoing mentoring and employment support.
Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally recognized Certificate III in Electrotechnology (UEE30820).
Essential Requirements
* Motivation and a genuine interest in the industry?
* High level communication, customer service, and organizational skills?
* The ability to work in a team environment and follow complex instructions?
* A positive attitude and self-motivation to learn on-the-job as an apprentice?
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with hand tools?
Key Criteria
* A current driver's license and reliable transport to get to and from work.
* A White Card and Working with Vulnerable People (or ability to gain one).
* Knowledge of safe working practices and WHS requirements.
