The business delivers complex, contract‐driven builds for domestic and international clients and is established, profitable, and continuing to scale in line with forward order demand.
Why the role exists
This role has been created to introduce senior‐level ownership of program delivery and procurement as the organisation grows in scale and complexity. It will strengthen governance, improve forecasting accuracy, and embed disciplined, repeatable manufacturing and procurement processes.
The role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is accountable for end‐to‐end program delivery and procurement performance across multiple concurrent builds. Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and managing complex manufacturing programs across schedule, cost, quality, and risk
* Owning program governance, forecasting, and reporting, with clear visibility of milestones and financial impacts
* Leading procurement and stores functions, monitoring supplier performance, cost control, and delivery timelines
* Working closely with Production and Engineering to align capacity planning, sequencing, and resourcing
* Driving the effective use and ongoing development of NetSuite for work orders, procurement, scheduling, and reporting
* Supporting the rollout and ongoing evolution of LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement
* Ensuring project management and delivery systems align with ISO 9001 requirements
* Contributing as a senior leader to WHS compliance, workforce planning, and organisational culture
What we're looking for
This role suits an experienced program or operations leader with a strong background in complex manufacturing environments. You will bring:
* A formal project management qualification (AIPM, PMP, or equivalent), preferred but not essential.
* Proven experience leading large, multi‐project manufacturing programs
* Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
* Practical experience working within LEAN manufacturing environments
* Solid ERP experience, ideally NetSuite, beyond end‐user level
* Demonstrated people leadership and cross‐functional stakeholder management capability
Systems knowledge
* NetSuite ERP (manufacturing, procurement, and scheduling modules)
* Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel capability
* Formal project and program management disciplines
* ISO 9001 aligned quality management systems

Remuneration
The position of Head of Program Management & Procurement, based in Hobart, is offered with a salary range of $140,000–$150,000 plus benefits.
