Personal Care Attendant (PCA) – Lincoln Grove Retirement Village
Join our vibrant team as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) and embrace an exciting opportunity at Lincoln Grove Retirement Village located in Port Lincoln.
This casual position offers a varied roster and good availability is desirable to pick up shifts and cover for holidays. This role plays a pivotal part in prioritising the well-being of our residents above all else.
We are seeking a motivated individual to make a positive impact, become part of our close-knit team, and be a source of support and comfort for our residents.
The position
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Assisting and supporting residents in their daily activities, including tasks like continence management, showering, dressing, and personal grooming
* Ensuring residents receive their prescribed medications promptly and accurately
* Collaborating in the preparation, service, and delivery of daily meals and special functions for our residents
* Managing laundry tasks for residents as required, maintaining their comfort and hygiene
We're looking for someone with:
* Demonstrated experience in aged care or a similar role
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
* Ability to obtain a National Police Check
* First Aid & CPR certification or ability to obtain
* Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing
