Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) is seeking an exceptional Engineering Leader to step into a critical leadership role.
As the Director, Engineering and Technology, you will provide strategic and technical leadership across LMA, delivering innovative, mission-ready solutions in support of Australia's sovereign Defence capability.
This is a unique opportunity to lead complex engineering and technology programs at scale, influence the next generation of Defence solutions, and foster a culture of innovation, agility, and excellence.
Responsibilities
The Director, Engineering and Technology's primarily responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Overseeing program execution across cost, schedule, and technical performance
· Developing and mentoring engineering talent across multiple business areas
· Ensuring engineering solutions meet technical, schedule, cost, and risk requirements
· Applying engineering resources to campaigns and programs
· Fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and engineering excellence
· Collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
· Leading Capability Investment and Functional Projects
About you:
You bring a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering organisations (500+) and have deep expertise in Defence projects. You thrive in high-stakes environments and are a natural collaborator, capable of engaging confidently with senior executives and Stakeholders.
With prior experience in Chief Engineering and Functional Management positions, you will have demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary teams in geographically disperse locations, across a matrix environment. You will also ideally hold Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (engineering, computer science etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or expert relevant experience.
