This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time and Permanent Part Time positions. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/06/2026.

About the OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for coordinating the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of holistic clinical services and relevant health promotion programs to the Aboriginal communities serviced by Population Health. The role provides leadership, supervision and support to the Aboriginal Health Team to facilitate appropriate client and program outcomes, as well as being responsible for the delivery of safe care outcomes and upholding the standards of nursing and midwifery.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* An advanced ability to apply expert clinical knowledge and skills across all models of care for outpatient and community nursing.
* Ability and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people including knowledge and understanding of cultural issues and social determinants particularly relating to Aboriginal Health.
* Skills and experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation, including evidence of effective services and client outcomes.
* Knowledge and understanding of the principles of primary health care and their application in service delivery.
* Knowledge of legislative obligations for Nursing and Midwifery, Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.
* In possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers license.

Area Profile

The Wheatbelt region spans 155,000 square kilometres, encompassing six Aboriginal lands and language groups. The region offers extensive opportunities with district hospitals in Narrogin, Northam, Merredin, and Moora, along with 35 smaller community hospitals and health centres, ensuring comprehensive care across the region.
