The Role
Working as an integral member of the Management Team, the Manager – Woden EFY Foyer shares leadership responsibility for achieving the organisation's strategic objectives, values and outcomes.
This position provides leadership and operational oversight of Canberra's first EFY Foyer, delivered in partnership with the Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) and the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT). The EFY Foyer supports young people aged 16–24 who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness to engage in education, training and employment as the primary pathway to independence.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring the Woden EFY Foyer operates with fidelity to the Education First Youth Foyer Model and its underpinning Advantaged Thinking approach. The role leads a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, aspirational and education-focused environment where young people are supported through coaching, mentoring and structured opportunities to achieve their goals.

About You
The ideal person we are looking for has:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Education, Social Sciences or a related field, and/or significant equivalent experience
* Experience leading services for young people with complex needs, preferably in residential or congregate settings
* Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise, develop and manage a team.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues.
* Demonstrated high level of initiative and strong organisational skills.
You Must Also Hold:
* Current National Police Check (within 3 months)
* A current driver's licence
* A Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT) and NSW Working with Children Check (role dependant)
