Key Activities And Responsibilities
* Manage purchase requisitions and ensure their compliance is verified.
* Consult with suppliers, analyse quotes and select the best offer.
* Transform purchase requests into orders and manage the order book.
* Guarantee performance of the physical flow and associated information in accordance with both external and internal requirements.
* Share business forecasts with suppliers and analyse risks.
* Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance operations and coordinate key profile routines.
* Contribute to optimal deployment and improvement of industrial tools and processes (ERP, Chorus, etc.) and apply best practices in planning and execution.
* Monitor internal customer satisfaction indicators and initiate corrective action if necessary.
* Manage interfaces with other Thales sites, Purchasing, Scheduling, Accounts payable, Trade Compliance, etc.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks for incoming and outgoing flows.
Key Knowledge And Experience
* Engineering degree or equivalent with more than 5 years' experience, or a bachelor's degree with around 10 years' experience.
* Routine use of ERP and understanding of underlying logic.
* Basic knowledge of production and repair processes.
* Basic knowledge of products and their manufacturing or repair processes.
* Knowledge of supply chain roles.
* Knowledge of inventory management and flow management methodologies.
* Practice of analytical and problem‐solving techniques.
* Knowledge of industrial/supply‐chain IT systems and use of dashboards.
* Use of analysis and decision support dashboards.
Qualifications
* Australian citizenship and eligible to obtain NV1 security clearance.
* Eligibility for security clearance from foreign government recognised by the Australian Government, if applicable.
* Knowledge of the Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as applicable to eligibility.
* Successful completion of pre‐employment police and medical checks.
