**Your Role: Tactical Buyer**
We're seeking a Tactical Buyer to join our Above Water Systems (AWS) Team at Garden Island. As a crucial member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in optimising our customer service rate and enhancing the reliability of our procurement process.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Thales and our suppliers.
- Efficiently manage the end-to-end procurement process from creating orders to closure.
- Implement Thales' purchasing strategy and utilize our ERP system and purchasing tools.
- Take ownership of orders, ensuring timely deliveries, resolving issues, and updating information systems.
- Proactively handle shortages, delays, and returns.
- Continuously improve procurement strategy to balance inventory levels and delivery punctuality.
**Your Skills**:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP purchasing tools.
- Ability to anticipate needs, challenge suppliers, and mobilise resources.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in building internal and supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of commercial contracts and order management processes.
