Reliability Engineer Role

We are seeking a dedicated Reliability Engineer to support the mission of delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality power supply. This role involves developing innovative strategies, driving continuous improvement, and optimising asset performance.


* This position plays a crucial part in supporting business reliability objectives through the development of asset management strategies and initiatives aligned with corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* The successful candidate will provide expert advice on maintenance and continuous improvement of network assets, ensuring safety, reliability, and quality of power supply.



Key Responsibilities:

* Develop analytical methods to assess system and asset class performance, identifying opportunities to enhance system reliability.
* Review system reliability performance and identify short-term improvement opportunities.
* Lead the development of reliability-driven strategies to manage asset performance, contributing to holistic Asset Management Plans covering generation, distribution, transmission, and secondary assets.
* Establish repeatable protocols for ongoing review and enhancement of system reliability.
* Promote long-term strategic programs aimed at increasing asset efficiency, aligned with planning objectives.
* Implement processes and reporting tools to facilitate data-driven decision making for system reliability.
* Advise on operational practices that ensure assets operate safely and efficiently, delivering reliability and economic benefits.



Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with suitable professional qualifications.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations, maintenance, or consulting within the power utility or related sectors.
* Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
* Strong understanding of asset performance criteria, assessment, and modern data analysis tools.
* Experience in power system asset management, maintenance, operational strategies, and planning practices.
* Industry memberships or qualifications in asset management, reliability, or maintenance.
* Experience in reliability functions within power utilities or maintenance engineering.

Important Note:
