About the role

As Ranger Team Leader at Kinglake National Park, you will lead a team of rangers in the day-to-day management of this high-visitation park on Melbourne's peri-urban fringe. Your core responsibilities include coordinating on-ground operations, managing visitor services and compliance, overseeing asset and infrastructure maintenance, and building strong relationships with the local community, volunteers, and stakeholders.

You will demonstrate a strong personal work ethic for team members to follow and ensure that team employees maintain a high standard of personal accountability. We're looking for someone with:

* Relevant qualifications in environmental science, natural resource management, conservation and land management, outdoor education, or a relevant trade
* Demonstrated experience as a Ranger or equivalent natural resource management role, with proven ability to supervise staff and deliver complex on-ground services
* Strong people management skills, including the ability to give clear direction, provide constructive feedback, and foster a collaborative and respectful team culture
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage constructively with diverse stakeholders and community groups
* Proven ability to work autonomously, manage resources, and deliver outcomes to agreed standards

Your application will need to include:

* A Current Resume
* A Cover Letter
