As a Delivery Driver (Van Driver), you will be an essential member of our customer service and logistics team at BN Pandit Pty Ltd T/A NT Delivery and Transport Services. Your duties will include loading and unloading goods, route planning, vehicle maintenance checks, and maintaining delivery records. Responsibilities
- Determining delivery locations and selecting the most effective routes.
- Positioning vehicles appropriately for loading and unloading operations.
- Managing account arrangements and collecting payments for deliveries.
- Reporting any required vehicle maintenance or repairs.
- Checking and verifying loading documentation.
- Assisting with loading to ensure items are arranged for convenient delivery and firmly secured to avoid damage.
- Keeping thorough delivery records, including mileage, time logs, and client acknowledgements.
- Maintaining the company’s values by ensuring that interactions with clients are respectful and compassionate.
- Adhering to all company policies, health and safety regulations and infection control protocols, especially when transporting sterile or sensitive medical supplies.
- Participating in ongoing training to maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading.
- Providing courteous and professional customer service during deliveries, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Handling all client-related documents and information with strict confidentiality and discretion.
Qualifications & Requirements
- AQF Certificate II or III (ANZSCO Skill Level 4) is required.
- 1 year of experience driving a van.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driving licence.
- Fatigue management knowledge and/ or certificate.
Working Hours
Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
