Overview
Sodexo is currently looking for a Site Liaison for our Food Platform Team. This is a full-time role based at our Balcatta Office and is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and energized individual with catering knowledge who may be looking for their next step into an office-based role.
Responsible for all forecasting and demand management for the assigned group of sites, generating and placing orders after appropriate review and approval processes, challenging order requests that appear out of the ordinary, co-responsible with sites to deliver the food cost target, and acting as the single point of contact for inquiries related to recipes, menus and supply chain.
This position will be onsite via a visitation plan to work alongside the Kitchen team to support menu planning and the kitchen process to provide a consistent offering and manage inventory and costs.
Responsibilities
- Focus on menu development and translating this into comprehensive in office planning.
- Manage a food cost budget and address challenges from unforeseen variables.
- Maintain consistent management of the food inventory system from an onsite perspective (DRIVE).
- Support the onsite leadership team.
- Communicate and collaborate with Village Management and/or Head Chef to uphold End-to-End Integrated Food inventory (DRIVE).
- Collaborate with Regional Catering Manager (where applicable) to embed all aspects of food services into the site.
- Ensure central orders to site are correct and configured to avoid service impact.
- Maintain a single point of contact to resolve product quality issues.
To be successful, you’ll need
- Certificate III, Diploma or relevant experience in Hospitality Operations (preferred).
- Previous Head or Executive Chef experience required (minimum 3 years).
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of kitchen operations, specifically portion control and inventory management.
- Understanding of recipe and cyclic menu management.
- Ability to build relationships with current Head Chefs and Village Managers.
- Proactive problem solving and strong attention to detail.
