About The Role
We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team of eight. Experience is valued but not essential, we are happy to train applicants new to the industry. The role includes providing individualised support at home and in the community, focusing on skill-building, independence and community participation.
Must be available the following shifts
Monday 7am - 2pm
Tuesday 7am - 2pm
Saturday 2pm - 9pm
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one support to an individual, assisting with daily living tasks, personal care and community participation.
* Support the development of communication and social skills.
* Implement personalised support strategies that align with her goals.
* Facilitate recreational and capacity-building activities at home and in the community.
* Work collaboratively with family, allied health professionals and other support staff to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to care.
* Accurately document progress, observations and shift notes.
* Promote a safe, positive and respectful environment that upholds her rights, dignity and choice at all times.
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Community Services, or a related area preferred but not required.
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (required).
* Current First Aid & CPR certification (required).
* Valid Driver's Licence (required).
* Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules (required).
* Australian working rights (required).
* Minimum of one year experience in the disability or community services sector preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
* Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and foundational knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support principles.

Pay: $44.80 – $72.80 per hour
