COOK – Lincoln Grove Retirement Village
RetireAustralia is seeking a talented and dedicated cook to join our passionate team at our Lincoln Grove Retirement Village on a casual basis. As our inhouse cook, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional cooking services to our residents, ensuring they enjoy delicious and nutritious meals while adhering to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.
Casual position working a variety of shifts across days and weekends – weekend availability essential
The Position
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will also be responsible for:
* Assisting in the control and monitoring of stock take, food orders, and costing for an efficient kitchen operation.
* Maintaining and managing food handling regulations.
* Planning and preparing food for events and special functions within the village.
* Ensuring privacy and confidential policies are adhere to strictly and information regarding our residents will only be provided to external parties by management.
We're on the lookout for someone with:
* Good availability across weekdays and weekends – weekends essential
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role
* Experience in preparation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate meals specific to a range of special requirements for elderly residents
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/formal Chef/Cook training
* Current Food Handling Certificate
* National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
* First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
