About Us:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Venue Operations Manager to join our team at Sydney Showground.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide support and backup to the Head of Events & Venue Operations for major events operational and in our control room.
* Support the planning of precinct operations and emergency management.
* Coordinate and manage day-to-day delivery of event operations including security, cleaning, and waste management.
* Develop, review, and produce operational procedures, systems, and manuals.
* Monitor venue operations to determine possible actions required to facilitate continuous improvement to the services and facilities of Sydney Showground.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years industry experience at a supervisory level.
* Minimum 3 years experience managing staff.
* Event experience.
* Knowledge and experience operating services and plant associated with the operation of venues.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Hold a current NSW drivers license.
* Ability to work to and meet project deadlines.
* Be committed to excellent customer service with high attention to detail.
* Be energetic, proactive, committed, and have great work ethic.
* Be able to work an event-based roster including weekdays, weekends, and late nights.
* Be legally entitled to live and work in Australia.
