United Grain Farms is seeking an experienced Multi-Combination (MC) Truck Driver for grain, fertilizer and other agricultural needs as required during the various seasons. We operate farms at two properties located in Moora and West River.
This interesting and diverse role affords the opportunity to be home most nights of the year, with time away expected during peak seasonal operational demands (harvest and seeding).
Would suit someone living in the Jurien Bay, Dandaragan and Moora areas, however Muchea, Bullsbrook and northern Perth are also negotiable for the right applicant with truck parking available in Muchea each night.
Key Responsibilities (ANZSCO Aligned)
* Vehicle Operation: Drive and manoeuvre heavy multi-combination vehicles into position for safe loading and unloading. Drive with full appreciation and usage of truck mechanical features that caretake and protect equipment, including knowledge of correct braking and other such systems.
* Licensing Requirement: Hold a current MC license, Driver medical and Fatigue Management Certification
* Load Management: Calculate weights to comply with load limitations and ensure safe weight distribution.
* Safety & Compliance: Secure goods using straps, chains, and covers to prevent loss or damage.
* Vehicle Integrity: Perform regular quality checks and pre-trip inspections as prescribed to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe.
* Documentation: Verify loading documents, maintain accurate logbooks for fatigue management, and obtain delivery certifications.
The successful applicant will have:
· Minimum 2 years' MC experience
· High attention to detail regarding paperwork and daily sheets
· Competent communication skills
· A can-do, problem solver and proactive attitude
· A thorough understanding of fatigue management
· Good organisational skills and cleanliness
