About the role
As Sales Manager, you’ll lead and inspire a team of destination experts, driving RAW Travel’s sales success while ensuring exceptional customer experiences. You’ll play a key role in motivating the team to exceed revenue targets, cultivating a positive and fun work environment, and working closely with other departments to align goals.

What you'll be doing

- Deliver exceptional customer service with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

- Develop and execute initiatives to exceed revenue targets, attract new business, increase productivity, improve NPS scores, and meet profitability goals.

- Lead a diverse team, fostering positive and productive working relationships.

- Implement strategies and processes to streamline team workflows.

- Identify and resolve client issues, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.

- Provide strategic advice on future trends and proactively manage potential challenges.

- Initiate and coordinate staff and client incentive programs.

- Manage CRM systems and report on KPIs and business trends.

- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align sales goals with marketing initiatives, campaign planning, and lead-generation strategies.

- Work closely with the Finance Manager to achieve sales and financial objectives.

- Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure sales commitments align with operational capacity

- Actively lead and promote the company’s core values.

- Participate in company events such as talks or hiking activities.

Who we're looking for

- 3+ years experience in sales/customer service preferably within the travel industry.

- 3+ years of sales management experience leading a diverse team.

- Well-developed people management skills with a high level of empathy and skill in recruitment, performance management and employee development.

- Tech savvy with aptitude and experience with CRM, travel industry systems and Google Drive documents (Insightly CRM & VT desirable)

- Exceptional telephone manner and web-based sales experience.

- Ideally first-hand (travel) knowledge of RAW Travel’s destinations and hiking.

- Demonstrated experience in business planning, budgeting, costing and forecasting.

- Experience setting targets and reporting on progress.

- A self-directed decision-maker with excellent organisational, time management skills and attention to detail.

- Grasp and curiosity of adventure products, processes, the industry and competition, and the market for this style of travel product with an ability to craft new USPs.

- Proven ability to implement new, alternative and innovative ideas for achieving targets, attracting sales leads, and driving business revenue.

- An approachable and natural leader with a knack for identifying solutions and a desire to improve yourself and the team.

- The ability to work autonomously, prioritise, be resourceful, make effective decisions and be self-motivated to achieve results.

- Experience with managing and working in a semi-remote team.
