Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working to assist our client, a well-established Indian restaurant known for its warm hospitality and exceptional service.
The menu includes classic entrees, flavourful curries, Indo-Chinese, biryanis, tandoori options and many special dishes.
With a dedication for excellence and quality service, our client is now seeking a new Cook to join their happy and productive kitchen team.
Cuisine focus – Indian cuisine and traditional dishes
Tenure – Full time and ongoing
Salary – negotiable in the range $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum
Location – Melton VIC
Responsibilities
High standard meals preparation and quality control (checks of raw materials, temperature controls).
Ensure compliance of the HACCP system regarding food handling procedures.
Portion and plate foods in accord with company policy and procedures.
Hygienic food storage in refrigerators.
Training of kitchen staff and apprentices as required.
About you
You have a passion for cooking – you want to produce the finest.
You have a well organised working style – able to cheerfully meet demanding work requirements.
You can work independently, and as part of a team, and have an excellent communication style.
You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food trends.
You have an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality.
To be successfully considered for the role you
Possess relevant Certificate IV or agreed substitute.
Have at least 1 or more, years of relevant work experience since earning your qualifications.
Are available across the working week, including weekends.
Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
Have experience working in a similar cuisine and professional environment.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
