Job Title: Resident Field Service Fitter
The Role:
Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our service team as a Resident Field Service Fitter in the Gippsland Region of Victoria. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic, repair and maintenance services to our customers' equipment.
This is a position that allows for autonomy and self-direction, with full support from our Melbourne branch and wider company network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment, including diagnostics, repair and maintenance.
* Building and maintaining excellent relationships with our customer base in the region.
* Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork.
* Conducting work in compliance with quality and safety standards and procedures.
Requirements:
* Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).
* Proven track-record as a heavy diesel mechanic with earthmoving/heavy machinery experience.
* OEM equipment experience highly regarded.
* Ability to work autonomously in the region and proactively solve technical issues.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette.
