Brief Description About Fronditha Care Fronditha Care is an award-winning not-for-profit aged care provider, specialising in providing culturally sensitive aged care for people of all backgrounds for more than 46 years. We provide a wide range of aged care services and programs to support elders and their families. The Opportunity

At Fronditha Care Newcastle, you'll create delicious, culturally-informed dishes that nourish and comfort our elders. Join a supportive team and take pride in cooking with purpose every day. We have casual and permanent part-time roles requiring availability for four to five shifts per week.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to the dietary needs of elderly residents.
* Follow menus and dietary plans in line with aged care standards, individual care plans and resident preferences.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and infection control protocols in line with HACCP and Aged Care Quality Standards.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment, including proper food storage, cleaning schedules, and waste management.
* Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.
* Assist with maintaining kitchen equipment and cleanliness, reporting any issues to management.
* Provide excellent customer service, interacting courteously with residents and accommodating reasonable requests.
* Participate in Fronditha Care's continuous improvement processes to enhance service quality.

What Success Looks Like For This Role

* Food handling certificate is essential but not limited to.
* Minimum 1 year experience in the Aged Care Sector, preferably in the kitchen and food handling.
* Proven skills around infection control and safe food handling.
* Proficiency in communication and teamwork.
* Cert III in Commercial Cookery but not limited to.
* Need to be flexible with availability to work on weekdays and weekends.
