**Who are we looking for?**
We are seeking a Associate Director, Medical Centres and Counselling to join Student Services, Student Services and Wellbeing, Administrative Division.
The Associate Director, Medical Centres and Counselling is responsible for leading the development and establishment of an integrated model for providing medical centre and counselling services to the University community. Holding a key leadership role within Student Services, the position will have oversight of the end-to-end management of the service ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This includes managing the physical, financial, technological, human resources and compliance requirements. In addition, the position will play a key role in supporting the Director in developing and driving the strategy of the business and creating a culture of inclusivity, continuous improvement and excellence in service provision.

**About the area**
The Student Services and Wellbeing portfolio leads the university-wide strategy and coordination of all non-academic matters related to the student experience. The portfolio of Student Services and Wellbeing delivers a range of services across the student life cycle, as well as providing advice and leadership to the university on a broad range of student and staff matters, including social justice and public policy.
Student Services and Wellbeing consists of the following departments: Student Administration, Student Engagement, Equity, Student Services, Sport, Wellbeing and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE). The portfolio also has strong links to and works closely with QUT's Oodgeroo Unit and Human Resources.
The portfolio is focused on delivering services to support the university's commitment to an exceptional student experience, leading to positive outcomes in success, retention and completion. This includes developing a campus culture which is inclusive, safe, and respectful for all students and staff.
Student Services is responsible for providing a range of services to support the health and wellbeing of students in areas of Accommodation, Chaplaincy, Counselling Services, Disability Services, International Student Support, Welfare Services and QUT Medical Centres..
**What you need to succeed**
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline combined with extensive relevant managerial experience in a medical service environment.
- Record of success in the leadership and management of physical, financial, technological and human resources within a large, complex organisation.
- Proven experience in fostering a high performance culture including the ability to motivate, develop, coach and empower staff to achieve excellence in service.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and maintain constructive client and partnership relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, analyse, evaluate and implement decisions in line with business objectives to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery outcomes.
