Casino Food Company is an innovative, leading export meat processor with production facilities in Casino and Booyong in the Northern Rivers of the NSW Far North Coast.
The Planning & Asset Supervisor has a key role within the maintenance department, responsible for driving reliability and asset management strategies to support safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. The role includes day-to-day technical support, ensuring the maintenance team has the best guidance, tools, and resources necessary to increase equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Plan, develop, and implement reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) strategies.
* Provide technical support, mentoring, and feedback to maintenance team members.
* Plan and schedule maintenance works based on priority, acting as a conduit between engineering and trades staff.
* Supervise technicians, trades and contractors to ensure works are completed to an acceptable standard.
* Lead continuous improvement of systems to optimise plant efficiency.
* Ensure regulatory compliance for plant and equipment, including:
* Pressure vessels and boilers
* Ammonia refrigeration plant
* Auxiliary refrigeration equipment
* Environmental compliance
* Food safety and quality controls
* Maintain accurate asset data and hierarchies within the computerise maintenance management system (CMMS).
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
* Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Experience in reliability, asset management, or maintenance supervision within manufacturing or processing.
* Willingness and availability to participate in the after-hours, on call roster as required.
* Strong knowledge of CMMS (MEX).
* Demonstrated application of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Risk Control Matrix (RCM), and reliability engineering tools.
* Knowledge of WHS, food safety, and regulatory compliance requirements in the red meat/food industry would be highly regarded.
* Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and engage teams.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Strong organisation skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
